RULES & REGULATIONS

Games will be played on Sunday evenings.  Start date is June 13.  Guaranteed 8 games including a playoff game.

High school rules apply to all play except on free throws.  On all free throws, the players in the lane can leave the lane (to get the rebound) upon release of the ball by the free throw shooter. This is the same as college basketball.

There will be two 20 minutes halves with a running clock except for the last 2 minutes of the second half. The Clock will run on free throws and time-outs. The only reason the clock shall stop is in the case of a medical emergency. Halftime will be 5 minutes. Teams will receive 5 to 7 minutes to warm up before their game.

If there is a tie at the end of regulation, there will be a 5 minute overtime period. This will continue for 1 more period if necessary.  If there is still a tie after the second overtime period, then we will play 1 minute overtime periods until there is a winner.  There will be a 1 minute rest period between each overtime.

Each team will have 4 timeouts a game. 2 Fulls (1min) and 2, 30 second timeouts.

If the game is tied at the end of regulation there will be 5 minute overtime period. There will be as many overtimes need to decide a winner. There will be no ties.

A game cannot start with less than 5 players.  A game can continue as long as a team has 2 players eligible to play.

Each player has 5 personal fouls to give before they are disqualified from the match. A technical foul from a player will result in 2 free throws, possession of the basketball and will count as one of that players personal fouls. 2 technical fouls from one player in one game will result in an ejection. If a player receives 4 technical fouls in a season they will be dismissed from the league.

After a team has committed 7 personal fouls the opposing team will be rewarded by shooting 1-1 at the free throw line, after 10 fouls the opposing team will receive 2 shots from the free throw line.

Each team is required to have matching uniforms, if a player lacks to do this it will result in a technical foul to start the game.

Roster are frozen by the third game, a team must have 6 or more players.

Minimum league age: 16
