Admissions Interview/Testing
All students applying for admission to Cathedral Academy will be tested. Test appointments are scheduled only after an application packet is complete.
Cathedral Academy is a college preparatory school, looking for students who are enthusiastic, committed to service in the community, have a desire to learn Christian values taught through Kingdom Education, and have a desire to continue their academic careers after high school graduation. Several areas factor into a student's acceptance. Among them are academic records, disciplinary records, responses on the application (and essay as applicable), reference forms completed by teachers and pastors, the family interview, and admissions test results. Cathedral Academy does not make accommodations to the curriculum in the way of individualized learning plans, shortened assignments, extra time on assessments, etc. Further, we understand that Cathedral Academy is not able to provide ancillary services to meet the needs of students with learning or behavioral issues. Test appointments for incoming students in grades 1-12 are scheduled as needed. Test times will be set for the 2013-2014 school year when open enrollment begins in Winter 2013.
Students applying for entrance into K4 or K5 will complete the admissions assessment with a member of Cathedral Academy faculty. Admissions assessments for the 2013-2014 school year will take place on scheduled days in Spring 2013.Please note that our K4 classes have reached capacity by late spring/early summer for the past several years. Those interested in the K4 program are encouraged to apply in a timely manner.
