Dear Church Family,

It was so good to be back together last weekend in the Worship Center. What a wonderful time in God’s presence! I could have lingered for hours. In His presence is where life-change really happens. I encourage you to spend some time this week worshipping at home. You’ll be amazed at what a difference it makes.

Thank you for being part of what is happening here at Cathedral. Again, I ask you to pray for me as I take the next few weeks to seek God and hear His direction for our church as we head into the Fall. Specifically, please agree with me for a spirit of wisdom and revelation. I’m anticipating great things to come.

I’m also asking for your help with a special project. We are partnering with North Charleston to provide school supplies for students in our community through the “It’s Cool to Be in School.” Your donation will help families who cannot afford basic back-to-school necessities start their children’s school year off right. You may add your financial gift to the offering or give online by August 2. Thank you for leveraging your resources to impact our neighbors.

REMINDERS:

• Don’t miss Vacation Bible School tonight through Thursday, July 22! Doors open at 6:30 pm. It’s not too late to get your children, grandchildren or neighborhood kids (ages 5 through Grade 6) involved. They’ll love the music, drama, games, snacks, great Bible stories and more!

• Cathedral Preschool opens August 9. We have spaces available for infants through 3-year-olds. We’re excited about this new opportunity to serve families.

I pray that you experience God’s touch this week in your area of greatest need and find the satisfaction that your soul longs for as you encounter His presence in a deeper way than ever before. May His joy fill your heart and bring peace to your mind. I’m looking forward to hearing your stories!
